Wow, Jaelyn is five months old today! It seems that everyday she is learning new things and we are learning new things about her. She loves sucking on her toes, seeing Mommy and Daddy, kicking her legs, chattering to herself and to us, and grabbing glasses, necklaces, hair, earrings, chins, noses, mouths, cheeks...you get the idea. When she sees us, she breaks into a great big toothless grin and sometimes flails her arms and legs around excitedly. It melts my heart every time.She has listened to Grandpa Jim, Auntie Amy, and Auntie Desiree on the phone. She looks at me for a minute, then starts to crane her neck around to see where the voices are coming from. She knows they've gotta be close! :)
She has not 'squawked' since we were with Lennie, the dog. So that is a nice relief on our ears! She is back to the cooing and other sweet noises that we love.
Not only do I love being home with Jaelyn and watching her grow and develop, I love seeing Scott and her together. Just the other night, he was rocking her to sleep, humming an eclectic mix of nursery rhymes, patriotic tunes, and Christmas carols. It worked great and she was soon sound asleep. He is a great dad to her and a blessing to me.
Happy Birthday, dear Jaelyn. May your days be filled with love and joy, peace and happiness. May you grow up surrounded by people who love you, friends to laugh with and a heart that loves God.

I wonder when she is 25 or 30 she will have birthdays every month. Most ladies do not dicuss their age LOL
I think she is going to be Scott's little girl, she looks so much like him. At this time.

Wow, what a cutie! She is growing so much. She is at my favorite age. The age where they recognize you and smile. The hardest time was when you first say no and hurt their little feelings and their eyes well up with tears...
