God Bless America!

Happy 4th of July!

Today started a little later than yesterday. Jaelyn was up at 5:30. Still too early for my taste.

After her morning nap, we went to Desiree's friend's house for their annual 4th of July party...."Ice Cream for Breakfast". They provide the ice cream and spoons, we provide the bowls and the toppings. What a great way to get people together and meet the neighbors!

Jaelyn had her first taste of ice cream while we were there. She LOVED it! She enjoyed it with crushed pineapple on top too! :)

From there, we headed to the Tacoma waterfront to Freedom Fest. We wandered down the waterfront, eating good food, listening to fun music, and checking out the vendors along the way.
Drinking mommy's mango lemonade.All gone!

During Freedom Fest, there was an air show. Jaelyn really liked watching the planes. Some of them were so loud we couldn't even talk to each other as they were flying by. Jaelyn never blinked an eye at the noise, she just kept trying to find the planes in the sky. She also loved the music and would start dancing where ever she was.

After a few hours at the waterfront, we decided to head on home. That was enough excitement for us. Jaelyn was asleep early tonight and Des and I celebrated the fourth, by watching the Boston Pops on TV. A nice way to end the day.
