Camping Weekend!

The view of the lake from our campsite
We headed northeast this past weekend and met with my family to go camping in northern Wisconsin for a long weekend. We tented it with Jaelyn and had a great time. The nights got a little chilly (mid-40s) but we were all bundled up and survived.

Jaelyn had quite a few firsts this weekend. Here are some of them:
  • dip in a lake - she wasn't too sure about this one

  • swing on a hammock - she loved it

  • playing in the sand

  • eating bananas

  • sleeping outside

  • campfires - mesmerized by the flames

The girls hanging out on the hammock.

Jaelyn had a great time playing with the chips bag, with Grandpa. I know, not the safest toy, but for the few minutes she had it, she loved it!

My favorite picture of the week...hanging out in her floating turtle on the beach, when the lake proved too much for her.

The next thing I hear you will be buying a RV like we have and traveling all over the USA showing off your beautiful daughter LOL.

That tent sleeping is for the birds. I slept in to many tents in the Army. There sre much better ways to sleep, than in the ground.

Happy to hear Jaelyn had a great time
