I have been overwhelmed with a sense of joy when it comes to my precious Jaelyn. She is such a sweet child and though there are tough moments, the good times far outweigh them. Each day she brings a smile to my face as she enjoys life and shares her excitement with me. The wonder as she discovers new things is contagious. I can't help but feel love and devotion when she snuggles up and tells me she loves me. She is developing her sense of humor and though the silly things she says sometimes surprise me, she sure makes me laugh.
I'm learning Jaelyn is a shy child as well. Even in the company of family, it will take her up to an hour to warm up and be herself. However, once that time is done, she brings joy and smiles to each person around.
She seems to be a boundless ball of energy and often tires out those around her, long before she experiences the fatigue herself. However, her pleading eyes and sweet smile make it almost impossible to say no to her. Though, as we enter the days of Jaelyn exerting more independence and wanting more control over her life, we are learning to say no. :)
She is learning to love Jesus. She often talks about going to church and will be the one to remind us to pray before meals. She is learning to thank God for all the good things in her life.
I do love our little Jaelyn. I am so honored and blessed to be her Mommy. Thank You, Lord. How could I ask for more?
