Day at the Farm

Our friends, Jeremiah and Elisa, live on a farm. They invited us out for the day to see the cows and the chickens. We had a great time with everyone who was there and Jaelyn loved the animals. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the day.

Jeremiah told us to walk where it was dry. Jaelyn decided to take her own path and we found out why Jeremiah gave us the instructions he did. Let's just say it wasn't mud.

Jaelyn loved exploring the tractors.

After seeing the cows and tractors, we headed over to the chicken barn. On the lower level, there were abou 24,000 chicks that were less than a week old. Jaelyn LOVED being in there and had no problems chasing after and catching the chicks.

Though after catching one unfortunate chick, Jaelyn gave a little too much love. After a few minutes of struggle, the chick slumped in her hand. Jaelyn just dropped it and moved onto the next chick. Thankfully, only one lost its life at the hands of our daughter and we were very thankful that it was unintentional. :)

After a fun day, our little one was just tuckered out. She fell asleep almost as soon as we got into the van to head home.
