This past weekend was crazy busy! Desiree, my dear friend, flew out from Seattle to see me pregnant before the baby arrives and to help finish getting things ready. I thought I was close to being ready, but I was so wrong! This weekend, we purchased our bassinet, put it together, washed all of the baby clothes (4 loads!) folded them, and put them away, hung the blanket for our crib set on the wall, rearranged the nursery, packed my hospital bag, purchased all the the initial necessities for when Baby Uma arrives (diapers, wipes, lotion, bath wash, etc.), had a baby shower in the Cities, finished painting the dresser, assembled the baby papasan, bought some more organizing tools, etc. etc. We did find some time in there to watch the Packers loose (bummer!) and a tiny bit of scrapbooking.

What a blessing it was to have Des out here and have all of her help. She was a great motivator and helped me keep going when I got overwhelmed.

Now it's just a waiting game! I'll go see the doctor again tomorrow and see what she says. We're 13 days away from the official due date, though it could happen at anytime. We always hear about the two week window before or after the due date. It's strange to actually be in that time frame now.

Hello,
Congrats on the soon to be arrival of your little blessing and miracle. I knew Scott from Westwood years ago and saw your blog through Dawn and Nathan's. Wishing you the best with your delivery and all to come with your baby!! They are such blessings and such miracles!! No matter how many hours of sleep you are about to miss out on it is soooooo worth it and when you have had a sleepless night and you see your little blessing smiling at you it takes away all (or most) of your tiredness!! ENJOY and God Bless you as you become parents!!
