Christmas is Here!

OK, so it isn't here quite yet, but the Christmas season has begun! I love this time of year. I love the tree, the lights, the music, and the true reason for the season, the birth of Christ.

All of these things are especially fun this year as Jaelyn is understanding more and more. We are beginning new traditions with our family of three...ones I hope will continue for years and years to come. One such tradition is getting our tree.
We decided to go out and cut our own tree this year. We invited Grandpa Steve and Grandma Annie to come with us, and what a great time we had! Jaelyn and Grandma Annie went 'hunting' for bear tracks throughout the endless lines of trees, while Scott, Steve and I searched out the perfect tree. I realized I'm far pickier than I thought when it comes to trees, but we finally found one that we all liked. :)

After Scott got it cut down, we drove back to the entrance to pay for it and enjoy the other festivities going on. Jaelyn loved petting the animals and got a few candy canes from Santa. We warmed ourselves by the fire and watched Jaelyn climb on the hay stacks.
It was a wonderful day, and the beginning of a fun family tradition....now to decorate!!!
