Well, we've been trying to convince our families that we really are going to name our child Uma. My sister asked us, "What if it's a boy?" My response, "Well, then he'll get teased a lot!" Seems like a logical response to me. Scott said we could just call him 'Amu' instead. *grin*
It's been fun to string family along, especially, Amy. She has declared that her niece or nephew will hate her forever if she allows us to name the child, Uma. So, in her mind it just simply isn't going to happen. (I apologize to anyone out there, who happens to be reading this, whose name is Uma...)
Another family member called a while back and was asking about me and the baby. After a little while, she hesitantly asked, "You aren't REALLY going to name the baby Uma, are you?" I told her we weren't planning on it. She breathed a HUGE sigh of relief. "Oh good! That name is just awful!"
We are finding though, that the more we use the name to talk about our baby, the more it is growing on us. It began as a joke, but I'm wondering if it's such a bad name...
