My little baby is no longer little! He had his 2 month check up today. He's weighing in at a whopping 14 lbs. 1 oz. and 24 3/4 inches long! That's the 95% for both measurements. Jaelyn was four months old before she reached that weight, though I do realize Xander got a bit of a head start from the beginning! Either way, I'm carrying around a big boy.
It's so fun to see him grow. He is such an easy and content baby. His face lights up and he shares a pink gummy grin when he sees his mommy, daddy, or sister. He's talking more and more and I'm only too happy to listen to his gurgles and coos. He has just begun sleeping through the night! He lays down around 9:00 and sleeps until 6:00 in the morning! That's a schedule I can get used to!
On a sad note, I head back to work on Thursday. I've tried not to think about it too much, but I've only two days left at home with my boy. I'm just trying to soak in every moment I can in the next 48 hours, and keeping the Kleenex close at hand.
