"LET'S COOK!"
This is what I heard from a very excited Jaelyn tonight, as we were waiting for Daddy to get home. The thought was not a pleasant one. I had spent most of nap time in the kitchen preparing supper so I could just hang with Jaelyn once she got up. The kitchen had already been cleaned twice today, but if she wants to cook, then I guess we cook!
We actually decided to bake instead. I had banana bread ingredients ready to go, so we whipped up some loaves of tasty, dairy-free and egg-free banana bread. Jaelyn was so excited to help out and enjoyed the fruit of her labor after dinner. :)
