5 Years and Still Going Strong!

This weekend was our 5 year anniversary. When I look over the time since Scott and I met, I am so blessed by all that he has brought into my life. I can't imagine life any other way.
He is a wonderful husband in so many ways and a fantastic father to Jaelyn.
Here are just a few of the reasons I love my Minnesota Man:
1- He can make me laugh like no one else can.
2- When I do silly or frustrating things, he just says "Sweeeetie" and laughs it off.
3- He is a hard worker and is a fantastic provider for our family.
4- Scott works around the house more than I do.
5- He has given far more baths to Jaelyn than I have.
6- He takes the time to play and giggle with Jaelyn.
7- Takes care of the laundry.
8- He values our family time.
9- He is slow to anger.
10- He loves me, despite all my foibles.
For our anniversary weekend,Grandma Annie was so kind to come out and stay with Jaelyn so we could have a weekend away. We both took off work on Friday. We started the day with breakfast out, then we got some Christmas shopping done.
In the afternoon, we drove out to the Spicer Castle. It is an inn in central, MN. It hosts murder mystery dinners Friday and Saturday nights, as well as other activities throughout the weekends. Here is where we stayed, the Mason Room.
Scott and I were a part of the murder mystery on Friday night. I was an actress, and he was a mountain climber and the long lost son of our host, who had been killed. Turns out neither of us were the murderer, but it did come out that Scott's character had killed a few to get to the diner that night. :)
It was a great time with the others we met that night. We all had a blast and the laughter lasted for hours.

On Saturday, we spent a leisurely day together. We went for some walks, played games, and talked for hours. It was such a relaxing day and so needed after how busy we've been this fall.
Saturday evening, after a tasty dinner, we headed out to the bonfire and joined another couple who was already out there. They were the rough, tough stereotypical Harley riders. Yet, when we sat down with them, there was an instant connection and we talked and laughed, to the point of tears, for hours. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them.
We headed home after breakfast on Sunday morning. Jaelyn had a great time with Grandma Annie, but she was certainly ready to have us home again. :)
We had a wonderful time away. It was a great mix of laughter, sharing, and quiet times together. We both came back feeling refreshed. Thanks again, Grandma Annie, for taking such good care of our little one and letting us get some much needed relaxation time.
