10 Months Old!!!

Wow, it is amazing to think that our little Jaelyn is already 10 months old. She's not so little anymore! It is so fun to see her personality coming out. She is a very determined, sometimes serious little girl. Yet other times she will just giggle and giggle for no apparent reason. :) She still enjoys getting startled as we play peek-a-boo and loves her Old MacDonald book. She will pull that one out of her book bin and just sit and turn the pages in it. Often at daycare, she will crawl over to the books and choose a few to page through on her own.

Jaelyn is easily cruising around the furniture these days and does so without hesitation. She loves getting from one place to another on her own. She also loves crawling to the steps, taking a look at us, and then bolts up them, fearless. We are certainly kept on our toes with her on the go. (We'll have a gate at the new house!)

She is finally getting that fourth tooth on the bottom, though it's number eight overall. She is a great eater! Everything we give her (except watermelon and green beans) she loves. She's eating mostly finger/table food. She loves all fruits, pineapple, peaches, pears, bananas, apples, grapes. She eats a lot of vegetables and even some meats. She loves it all!

We also had an exciting moment today...she took her first official steps on her own!!! I was so thrilled when I saw it, I got tears in my eyes. I saw her take a few wobbly steps before plopping down to crawl a handful of times tonight. As my friend said...our lives will be forever changed! But I do love the change she has brought to Scott and me. She is such an incredible joy. I love getting her hugs in the morning and rocking her to sleep at night. Thank you, Lord for such a wonderful blessing in our little girl, Jaelyn.
