9 Month Check Up

We had Jaelyn's 9 month check up today. All is well. She weighs 19lbs. 12 oz. and it 29 3/4" long.

Here are a few things she is up to these days:

• Crawling super fast around the house.
• Climbing the stairs faster than we can catch her.
• Eating almost anything we do (as long as there are no milk or eggs in it).
• She is waving bye-bye
• Signs for milk when she wants her bottle.
• Is learning to drink from a sippy cup and a regular cup. (She always prefers the regular cup.)
• Chooses which book she wants to read...right now she is partial to Old MacDonald.
• Walks along furniture.
• Walks quickly while holding our hands, sometimes while holding only one hand.
• She loves kissing the baby in the window at night.
• We're still working on Da-Da, but she's got Mama down pat! :)
• She gives kisses to lots of people and lots of her books and animals.

We are discovering that Jaelyn certainly has her own personality. She isn't as easy going as we had hoped she would be, but she is still such a joy. She lets us know when she wants something and doesn't back down until she gets it (though we are working on that!)

I love being a mom and I'm so thankful God has given us Jaelyn. Happy 9-month birthday, Baby Girl! :)
